Many of our readers in Texas likely saw the horrific news recently about a motor vehicle collision involving a semi-truck and a school bus. It is the stuff of nightmares for any parent, and it is a miracle that there were no fatalities.

According to the reports, the collision occurred on October 24 during the morning commute. There were 19 children onboard the school bus at the time, as well as the school bus driver. The collision occurred at an intersection, and the reports indicate that there is surveillance video from the incident that may prove conclusive when it comes to determining which driver was at fault.

The reports state that the surveillance video shows that the school bus driver had a green light at the intersection at the time of the crash. The semi-truck driver, however, apparently claimed that he had a yellow light at the time. The video in question is likely be a crucial piece of evidence in any legal claims that arise from this collision.

Of all of the children who were onboard the school bus at the time of the crash, 10 were reportedly transported for medical care. Eight of those children were transported by ambulance, while the other two were taken by their parents. The school bus driver also reportedly needed to be transported for medical care as well. As more information about the extent of the injuries to the victims becomes available, it is probably likely that the injured victims will begin to explore their potential legal options to attempt to secure financial compensation.
